Westgate Boys and Girls Club - June, 2008

Note: Windham Reads will be sending the "Book Mobile" out to Westgate every other Tues. beginning June 3 at 5:10 pm. This is a really awesome opportunity for young and old alike.

Members have continued enjoying our weeklly trips to the Club on Flat Street. Once we are there they have met up with friends from school. We found out that the Club bucks we give out at Westgate are now accepted at Flat Street - this means members can "purchase" special snacks.

On May 5th over 20 kids of all ages picked up trash around this community. Wednesdays are known as "You Choose Days" or "free day" at the Club on which members choose what they want to do . These days often include impromptu plays. And of course the Club store is open, where only Club Bucks are accepted.

The Boys and Girls Club will be in the Heifer Parade on Saturday, June 7th. Members are encouraged to participate. Youth need to be dropped off at the Flat Street Club to meet Lisa at 8:30 am and picked up at the Brattleboro Common (end of parade route) at 11am.

The Hours for June
