Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program
The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is designed to assist limited resource audiences in learning how to make food choices to improve the nutritional quality of meals, to select and buy food that meets nutritional needs, to gain new skills in food production, preparation, storage, safety and sanitation, and to better manage their food budgets and Food Stamps. The hands-on, learn-by-doing approach allows the participants to gain the practical skills necessary to make positive behavior changes.
We will be offering the EFNEP program here at Westgate for 6 weeks starting on Tuesday, May 20th from noon to 1:30. The program will run every week on Tuesdays at the same time. Please call Greg or Laura in the Community Center to sign up no later than May 16th. (257-2430). We need at least 6 people to commit to the duration of the program in order to host it.
