Westgate Housing Community
Our Vision Statement
Westgate strives to be known as a safe, attractive community of affordable housing where the residents are actively involved in all aspects of decision-making.
The needs of residents will best be met through shared, democratic leadership, resident participation and volunteerism, and by having an inviting Community Center that serves all ages.
The Westgate community will foster (through programs and personal relationships) caring, respectful neighbor-to-neighbor contact.
Because Westgate is a constantly evolving community, residents, along with the Westgate Tenants' Association and Westgate Housing Inc. boards, will continue to develop relationships with Brattleboro organizations that benefit the quality of life within Westgate.
A primary purpose of the WTA and the WHI boards will be to ensure that their actions are consistently aligned with the expressed needs of the residents. To that end, new ideas will be welcomed and encouraged.
The WTA and WHI boards will work in a cooperative manner to achieve the goals set forth in the Vision Statement.
