Westgate Housing Community in West Brattleboro, Vermont, is a 98 unit low to middle income community that is attractive, safe and offers many activities and programs to tenants. Please look at the Westgate Wire link on the right to keep up with what is currently happening.
The Westgate Community has experienced great changes over the past few years and we are expecting to evolve, thrive and grow in the years to come. Our hope is that Westgate will become a model for resident-controlled and resident-owned affordable housing in Vermont.
We are very excited about going tenant-owned in the near future. Articles on this concept will be contained on this site, including ongoing focus articles on our sister Vermont "gate" housing communities; Highgate in Barre, Northgate in Burlington and Applegate in Bennington. All are resident owned and operated, or headed in that direction.
