Westgate Housing Community in West Brattleboro, Vermont, is a 98 unit low to middle income community that is attractive, safe and offers many activities and programs to tenants. Please look at the Westgate Wire link on the right to keep up with what is currently happening.
The Westgate Community has experienced great changes over the past few years and we are expecting to evolve, thrive and grow in the years to come. Our hope is that Westgate will become a model for resident-controlled and resident-owned affordable housing in Vermont.
Westgate is joining the very few (3?) other rental housing complexes in the country controlled by a tenant-run non-profit. the results of this are evident all around us as any long-time Brattleboro resident will tell you. The improvements in this neighborhood have directly evolved from the level of tenant responsibility and commitment!
